Davis Cabin
The Davis Cabin is located at 700 Shawan Falls Drive, Dublin, 43017. Parking is available in the Indian Run Falls parking lot. Tours are available upon request.
A son of Samuel Davis, Beriah Davis was born in 1812. Beriah lived on the Davis farm located near the present-day intersection of Dublin Road and Tuttle Road. In the mid-1800s, Beriah built this cabin for his growing family. Beriah and his wife, Mary Ann Davis, had six children. When Mary Ann died at a young age, Beriah remarried and he and his second wife, Clara Andrews, had six additional children.
In 2005, the Davis Cabin was donated to the City of Dublin. It was disassembled, stored, and then reconstructed at its present location in 2009.
In 2020, the Dublin Historical Society began offering tours of the cabin to elementary students studying Ohio history. The cabin is currently furnished with period pieces which provide a glimpse into 19th-century pioneer life.
Each year, typically in May and April, the Dublin Historical Society opens the cabin for tours. Open house dates will be posted in early 2027. Meanwhile, if you are interested in a private tour please use the tour request form below.
